Healed natural nano brows in Leander TX at Frenkel PMU House

Nano brows create the appearance of soft, realistic eyebrow hairs using a professional digital permanent makeup machine and an ultra-fine needle. Each stroke is designed to follow your natural hair pattern, giving sparse or uneven brows more balance without a heavy, filled-in look.

At Frenkel PMU House, your brows are never copied from a template. We begin by listening to how you want to look and feel, then design the shape, color and technique around your facial structure, natural brow growth, skin and lifestyle. You approve the complete design before the procedure begins.

What are nano brows?

Nano brows are machine-created hair strokes placed with controlled, precise movements. They are often compared with microblading because both techniques can create a hair-stroke effect, but the tools are different. Microblading uses a manual blade, while nano brows are created with a digital PMU machine and fine needle. You can read the full comparison in Microblading vs Nano Brows.

Frenkel PMU House works exclusively with professional machine techniques. We do not perform traditional microblading. Machine work gives the artist greater control over stroke placement, direction and depth while allowing the technique to be adjusted to the individual client.

Who are nano brows best for?

Nano brows can be a beautiful choice when you want a soft, natural result rather than the appearance of brow makeup. They may be suitable for clients with sparse areas, uneven brows, missing tails or a desire for better everyday symmetry.

Skin matters. On normal or dry skin, fine strokes often heal with the greatest definition. Clients with oily or porous skin may still be candidates, but the strokes can heal softer or blur more quickly. In those cases, powder brows or a combination technique may produce a more predictable long-term result. We would rather recommend the correct service than perform nano strokes simply because they are popular.

What if you already have permanent makeup?

Previous eyebrow tattooing or microblading changes what is possible. Realistic hair strokes cannot be placed successfully over strong, visible pigment because the old color remains beneath the new strokes and prevents them from looking natural.

As a general guideline, old pigment should be approximately 80% faded before a new shape or hair-stroke design can be considered. Light, well-faded pigment may be workable. Visible pigment may only be suitable for a powder refresh. Dark, saturated, uneven or incorrectly shaped pigment may require removal before redesign.

If you have previous brow work, send clear, makeup-free photos before booking. We will tell you honestly whether nano brows, powder brows, correction or removal is the right next step.

  • Less daily reliance on eyebrow pencil or pomade
  • A soft result that is designed to fade gradually over time

What happens at your appointment

  1. Consultation and assessment. We discuss your goals, daily brow routine, skin characteristics and any previous permanent makeup.
  2. Custom brow mapping. Your artist maps a shape that works with your natural brow position and facial proportions. You review and approve it before pigment is implanted.
  3. Pigment selection. Color is chosen for your natural brow hair, skin undertone and desired healed result, not only how the pigment looks on treatment day.
  4. Precision machine application. Topical numbing is used for comfort while fine strokes are created in the direction of your natural hair growth.
  5. Healing and perfecting. You receive detailed aftercare instructions. Your healed result is evaluated at the $190 perfecting touch-up scheduled 4–12 weeks later.

Healing, aftercare and longevity

Brows normally look darker and more defined immediately after the appointment. During the first 10–14 days they may feel slightly tender, appear warmer in color, flake and temporarily look lighter or uneven. This is part of the healing process and is not the final result.

Do not pick or remove flakes. Keep makeup and strong skincare products away from the area, limit heavy sweating and avoid pools, hot tubs, saunas and ocean water for approximately two weeks. Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your artist.

Nano brows may last approximately 12–24 months, although retention varies with skin type, oil production, sun exposure, skincare, metabolism, health factors and lifestyle. Many clients consider a color refresh around 12–18 months, but the remaining pigment should always be evaluated first.

Frequently asked questions

Do nano brows look natural?

They are designed to imitate natural brow hairs. The result depends on the artist's technique, your skin, natural hair pattern, pigment choice and healing. Our goal is a result that blends with you, not a repeated signature shape.

Do nano brows hurt?

Topical numbing is used before and during the procedure. Most clients describe the discomfort as mild and commonly rate it around 2-3 out of 10.

Can nano brows work on oily skin?

Sometimes, but very oily or porous skin may heal with softer strokes. Powder or combination brows can be a better choice, and your artist will explain why during the consultation.

Can nano brows cover old microblading?

Only when the previous pigment is sufficiently faded and does not interfere with the new design. Clear, makeup-free photos are required before booking if you have previous work.

Is the touch-up included?

No. The initial nano brow session is $380. The perfecting touch-up is $190 and is scheduled 4-12 weeks after the first session.

Can I have nano brows while pregnant or nursing?

No. Permanent makeup appointments must be postponed during pregnancy and nursing. Please disclose medications, health conditions, allergies and recent facial treatments before booking.
